Problem: The State of Jewish Couples in Britain*

59% of Jewish adults live in couples

A higher proportion than in any other
religious or ethnic group. 

11% of Jewish couples cohabit

17% increase, most common in late twenties.
No increase in the number of married Jews. 

26% intermarriage rate

Only 31% of their children raised are as Jews.
200% of their children intermarry. 

34% of marriages end in divorce

1 in 5 Jews divorced at least once.
11% increase, below national average! 

25% of women experience abuse**

JWA supported 700 women in 2018.
35% of domestic violence starts in pregnancy.
